The Swimmer   Edward M. Kennedy, brother of JFK and RFK, who drowned a young woman by running his car off a bridge and leaving her to die. The details are known only to him and anyone to whom he managed to convey an accurate account, and of course The One who knows all things. Sometimes known as Ted "a blonde in every pond" Kennedy. A Political Catholic, when he learned he had terminal brain cancer he traveled to Rome to seek a special meeting with the Pope, and was rebuffed. The nickname comes from his claim that he repeatedly dived into the shallow water (the car was never completely submerged) and attempted to free the victim.
