In 1989 Randy Weaver was entrapped after much effort by the ATF using an informant.  Through various machinations the agency operatives were able to obtain a warrant to arrest him for failure to appear in court.  A force of U.S. Marshals, ATF and FBI and numerous other law enforcement agencies conducted a raid on a cabin occupied by Weaver, his wife Vicki, and their children.  When Samuel Weaver (age 14) went outside to investigate the cause their dog's barking he was shot in the back by a U.S. Marshall, killing him.  Fearing for their lives the family refused to come out and surrender and another agent fatally shot Vicki Weaver while she was holding her 10-month-old baby. 

When Randy Weaver eventually surrendered he was arrested and eventually sentenced to 18 months in prison on the original (spurious) charge of violating his bail conditions.  He was acquitted on all other charges as was the friend of the family who shot the agent who was murdering Samuel Weaver.  None of the personnel who committed the killings were punished. 

Randy Weaver died in 2022 at the age of 74.  He had suffered much at the hands of a corrupt and evil government.
